The very best place to get drivers for windows (either windows 7 or earlier versions) is Radarsync's online repository. It's searchable, browsable by vendor, and all links download from vendor servers, so it's secure. The Windows 7 site is www.radarsync.com/windows7

I have tried Windows 7 on a Dell Pentium 4 workstation that has removable drive tray. On one tray I had XP Pro, the second had Vista Ultimate SP1 and the third was a duplicate of the second upgraded with the Beta to Win 7.

I have played with the new Win 7 and find it much faster than the other two platforms, even XP Pro.

The beauty of this test is the base hardware stays the same. Each removable hard drive is the same size and capacity.

My two printers, Brother HL-2070 and Dell AIO 964 work fine.

Office 2003 loads without any issues and I am able to run XP created spreadsheets and MS word files.

Some applications don't recognize the new Win 7 as a valid windows operating system.

I tried loading all my old XP apps and some of them bombed upon install.

Most of my Vista apps loaded or were upgraded. Some were identified as incompatible with
Win7.

I could not upgrade from XP with the Beta. I had to use Vista as the starting point.

The interface is more like Vista than XP, so XP users will find the learning curve steeper.
