@Tony Krug: Did you install Windows using Bootcamp? This runs Windows natively just as fast as a PC. The only issue is that it's Windows or Mac OS, but not both at the same time.

If you are dissatisfied with Quicken or any of the software solutions (MS Money, Moneydance, etc.) on any platform (PC or Mac), I'd highly encourage you to check out mint.com. It's free, web-based so cross-platform, and very simple. I've used all of them and have found mint.com to be the most intuitive and feature-rich.

Quicken for Mac program is disappointing compared to the Windows version, but when I downloaded the Windows into my Mac Mini I had to use a program called parallel which was too slow and often froze. Money Dance was not a good substitute. I use a Mac Mini and also have a portable that uses Mac Book (not Mac Book Pro). I would appreciate any suggested solutions so that I can use the Windows version of Quicken on either PC.
